Term 4 Letter
Monday 10 October
Dear Parents/Caregivers of Room 11 Students,
Welcome back to another
exciting term, I hope you all had a restful and enjoyable break.
This letter is just to let

Our topic this term is Careers Education. Students will increase their
awareness of their strengths and interest, and of how they relate to others.
They will see themselves positively, demonstrating a hopeful picture of
themselves in the future. They become aware of the link between education and work and the role of
lifelong learning, understanding that people’s skills are built up over time
because of learning and experience.
Term 4 will see Athletics
training and competition.
Week 1 will be Athletics
training every afternoon.
Friday of Week 2 will see the
Christ The King School Athletics Day.
Week 4 will be Zones
Athletics for those who make it through.

and will be the same as last Term with 10 spelling words, completing an
electronic reading log and finishing work.
Please check that your child
still has all stationery needed in Room 11 including a red pen, ruler, pencils,

Shakespeare Rocks Production
After seven weeks of learning songs, lines, dance moves, stage transitions, costumes, makeup and practices the production was upon us.
Both the Matinee and Night performances were a total success with all children stepping up for success and presenting a highly polished show with brilliant singing, dancing, energy and wonderful acting.
Thank you all parents and others who helped to make this such as positive experience.

Water and Riccarton Bush Trip
The Senior Syndicate traveled to The Main Christchurch Water Pumping Station and Riccarton Bush on Friday 17th of March. It was a fantastic trip full of learning and hands on activities.
It consolidated our learning from class and gave us new ideas about conservation.
A massive thanks to all the parents who gave up their time to help on the trip and to Chris from the CCC and Anthony from the Canterbury Museum.
