Christ the King Cross Country

Well done to all those who competed today, you all put in 100% and competed with pride.
Cross Country Recount
Fidgeting with anticipation of the big three kilometer run that was about to commence. Some of the children were excited for an amazing experience but on the other hand some of them were petrified with the challenge of running three laps.
Lucky it was a fine day to run cross country. You could easily distinguish who was excited and nervous by their facial expressions. The end of the day was approaching and the year seven and eight students were preparing to run the three laps around Jelly Park. Finally the long awaited run was about to begin.

Rattled hands took grip, ready to run. Waiting for the big run to start. Nearly falling forwards thinking the clappers would go. As some struggle to handle the suspense of waiting, others stay focused and zone out from the rest of the competition. CLAP* sprinters lead, while the joggers hung around the back of the pack. Sprinters very soon lose their breath and slow down. Keeping their pace, the jogging group zoom past efficiently.

Overall our class sure did us proud and I am sure we all put in 100% effort and had fun.

On April 1st,the middle and the senior syndicate walked to Jellie Park for the Christ the King Cross Country. It started off with some exercises then the year 4 boys started of the race with one lap, then came the girls.
Then the boys again their was a pattern as you can see.The run was very tiring, but the good thing is that nobody gave up,they tried their hardest, and lots of people cheered for one another.Everyone did a great job :)
